Intro to High Performance Computing (HPC)

This workshop introduces IU faculty, staff, and students to high performance computing including the Research Desktop graphical desktop service.

Storage 101: Storage Options for Research Computing

This workshop introduces IU faculty, staff, and students to high performance storage options including Slate, Geode, and the Scholarly Data Archive.

High Performance Computing for Biologists

This workshop introduces IU Biology faculty, staff, and students to High Performance Computing (HPC) and the IU resources available to them to empower their research.

Intro to Deep Learning

This course helps attendees create their first NeuralNet, RandomForest and function optimizer with the DeepLearning software stack on Big Red 200.

Getting Started with Jetstream2

Jetstream2 is an NSF-funded user-friendly cloud computing environment for researchers and educators, even those with no previous cloud computing experience. Includes an overview of Jetstream2, the ACCESS ecosystem, and how to begin using Jetstream2.

Storage 201: Data Management and Administration

This intermediate-level workshop is for power users, lab PIs, and collection managers who wish to learn about best practices for managing and administering the data under their ownership. The principles in this workshop can be applied to many contexts and applications.

Advanced Topics in Deep Learning

This workshop allows IU faculty, staff, and students to take a deeper dive into some problems that can be addressed with Deep Learning on Big Red 200. Topics include document similarity, custom GPU programming, and function optimization.

Quantum Computing

This workshop provides a brief overview of Quantum Computing. A description of what it can and cannot do will be presented.

HPC Training Archive

These workshops have happened in the past and are not being offered in-person at this time. They do archived information which may include videos via YouTube and class materials via Google or GitHub available 24/7. No registration required to review archived materials.

The Supercomputing for Everyone Series (SC4ES) aims to bring more users into the realm of advanced computing, whether it be visualization, computation, analytics, storage, or any related discipline. Research Technologies can take you to the next level of computing.

Supercomputing for Everyone Series workshops and seminars are led by personnel from Research Technologies, a division of University Information Technology Services and a center in the Pervasive Technology Institute at Indiana University.
