The IT Training Education Certification Program, or EdCert, is an Indiana University initiative aimed at building expertise in departmental computing support and maintaining the technical infrastructure required by higher education institutions.
The EdCert Program offers advanced technical training to the IU community (staff, faculty, and students) and faculty or staff at other higher education institutions. Topics include Microsoft 365 administration, Azure cloud computing, project management, ethical hacking, Unix system administration, and IT security (among others).
- Classes meet via Microsoft Teams from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
- Most EdCert classes require prerequisite skills.

The EdCert Program provides you the opportunity to earn a professional credential that has value in the marketplace. Each certifying body awards their credentials after you satisfy the requirements of the program (requirements vary based on the certification). Each certification provides industry-recognized verification of your skills in a specific topic.
