CompTIA Linux+ (XK0-005)

CompTIA Linux+ course builds on your existing experience with systems operations and administration to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to configure, manage, operate, and troubleshoot a Linux environment by using security best practices, scripting, and automation.

CompTIA Linux+ covers common tasks in major distributions of Linux, including the Linux command line, basic maintenance, installing and configuring workstations, and networking. This course assists in the preparation for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam (XK0-005).

Learning Objectives

Configure and manage software, storage, processes and services.
Create simple shell scripts and execute basic BASH scripts, version control using Git and orchestration processes.
Understand best practices for permissions and authentication, firewalls, and file management.
Analyze system properties and processes and troubleshoot user, application and hardware issues.

Prerequisite Skills

12 months of hands-on experience working with Linux servers.
CompTIA A+, Network+ and Server+ recommended.
