Introduction to IU REDCap webinar

This training webinar is appropriate for individuals who are using IU REDCap for the first time, or for individuals who have very limited prior experience.

In this training, you will learn about topics such as logging into REDCap, creating data collection instruments, field types and the dashboard.

Objectives

By the end of this webinar, users will:

  • Understand how to conduct data entry in REDCap on existing projects.

  • Understand user rights in IU REDCap and how they are important to project management and data quality.

  • Understand the importance of testing your project and how to test before collecting real data

  • Understand how to enable forms as surveys and the two basic distribution methods for surveys. 

Prerequisites

  • REDCap account access.
  • Ability to listen to the online webinar via your own device.

Using the e-Consent Framework in IU REDCap

The webinar is an informative presentation/discussion about using the e-Consent Framework in IU REDCap. Obtaining written consent is a crucial step for engaging participants in research, but managing paper forms can be a challenge. REDCap offers a user-friendly electronic method to obtain and manage participants’ consents through the new e-Consent Framework and PDF Auto-Archiver.
