Please make sure you have Photoshop installed on your computer, and download the exercise files for today using the button below.
Please note: Today's training was developed for the desktop version of Adobe Photoshop. If you're using the iPad OS version of Photoshop or the mobile apps for Android and iPhone, you won't be able to follow along with today's training, as many of the features work differently or don't exist in those versions of Photoshop.
In the Photoshop Crash Course, you'll learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop, an application used for photo editing and digital artwork creation. As part of the course, you'll learn how to perform basic photo retouching tasks while exploring the Photoshop interface and becoming more familiar with the program. You'll also work on a more complex photo compositing project, and learn about layers, selections, healing tools, and image adjustments. Additionally, you'll explore using Photoshop's generative AI tools as part of the photo editing process.
Explore how to use adjustments to change the lighting in an image, and gain a deeper understanding of the difference between destructive and non-destructive edits.
In this section, learn how to use the Black and White adjustment to convert an image to black and white, as well as how to adjust the intensity of shades of gray used for the adjustment.
In this section, we'll create a collage of photos of our friend's pets, including pictures of Angelica the dog we edited previously in the course, as well as photographs of our friend's two cats, Eliza and Peggy.
In this section, learn more about image resolution and how it's affected by what you'll be using your image for. Additionally, you'll learn more about how to save images for both print and web use.
