Training by Microsoft

IT Community Partnerships and IT Training are partnering with Microsoft to bring training from the source to the Indiana University community. Register for one of these workshops to learn more about using Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications to make your work more efficient. Sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. starting on October 19, 2021. Each session will last for an hour and a recording will be made available to those who attend the workshop for reference.

Microsoft Teams series

Learn the basics of how to use Microsoft Teams. Start with navigating the interface and end with learning about the advanced features of Microsoft Teams.

When: Tuesday, October 19, 2021 11 a.m. - 12 noon EDT

This introductory course shows the fundamentals to navigate Teams, get your team up and running, and start having conversations.

Microsoft Teams Meetings series

Level up your meetings by learning about two main communication features in teams: chat and meetings. Create and use breakout rooms for small-group discussions for your class or your department.

The meetings workload includes audio conferencing, video and sharing. This course will demonstrate key features of Meetings while focusing on running more effective meetings using Microsoft Teams.

Virtual breakout rooms are the latest innovation in Microsoft Teams. With breakout rooms, meeting hosts can break participants into separate meeting rooms for smaller group discussions, then bring groups back to the main meeting.

Microsoft 365 Storage series

Do you need to control access at a more granular level than a team provides? The Microsoft 365 Storage series covers topics related to sharing and collaborating without the use of Microsoft Teams. This session is ideal for folks working with HIPAA, PHI, PII, and other critical data.

This training introduces cloud storage in Microsoft 365 using OneDrive for Business and SharePoint storage.
