This workshop lasts 3 hours.

With Adobe InDesign and Indiana University’s investment in digital publishing, you can both create ePublishing projects and deploy them to an Ipad or Android tablet with no coding whatsoever. In this hands-on session, you will create your first interactive project that uses media along with your text and images to tell a story. From this training you will leave with the understanding of what you need to become a digital publisher.

This special hands-on session is taught by Tim Plumer from Adobe Systems Incorporated. We will be creating digital publishing resources on a PC running InDesign with the most current Digital Publication Suite tools. However, you will need to have an iPad or Android tablet and an Adobe ID to be able to view the finished product and take it with you.

What You'll learn
  • create a quick InDesign project aimed at becoming a digital publishing project
  • add interactivity such as simple hyperlinks, slide shows, and streaming video from YouTube
  • publish it for review on your own device
  • learn the steps required to build and deploy an app to the App Store
What you need to know Recorded Session
  • a basic knowledge of page layout with text and images
  • familiarity with Adobe InDesign
If you don't have those skills, consider first taking the workshop:
