Intended for anyone involved in planning, designing, or creating a medium to large web site. Uses lecture, video, and discussion to introduce the importance of incorporating user-centered design principles and usability testing in web design and implementation.

Can’t make it to the workshop?

Participants will:

  • explore user-centered Web design
  • see and discuss examples of usability testing
  • learn about ADA Web guidelines
  • learn a four-part Web site design method
  • examine specific guidelines and considerations at each stage
  • learn where to find resources for Web design

The following workshops are suggested prerequisites to this workshop:

Participants should already be able to:

  • understand basic HTML code
  • understand Web colors and graphic formats
  • monitor image sizes and Web page load time
  • encode Web pages for text-only Web browsers
