In this series you will be introduced to a variety of Microsoft Office applications and learn ways you can make them work together. Participants will learn the basic skills for day-to-day office activities from creating a spreadsheet in Excel to creating a PowerPoint presentation.
This workshop focuses on the essential skills needed to use email in Outlook and presumes that you are using the application with an Exchange mail server.
Introduces some of the essential features most commonly used in Word. In this workshop, you will use tabs, create lists, work with headers and footers, use styles, sort text, and save a Word document for the web.
PowerPoint is useful for creating complex multimedia presentations. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamental skills needed to create and organize a moderately complex presentation in PowerPoint, and how to prepare to present a finished presentation.
Excel is Microsoft’s spreadsheet program, an ideal tool for tracking numerical information and performing data analysis. In this workshop, participants will learn how to enter and modify data, use formulas and functions, and create simple charts to visually represent data.
Access is Microsoft’s premier desktop database application, and as such it is ideal for tracking small to medium sized data sets. In this workshop, you will learn basic database terminology, create tables and queries, enter and edit data, and import data from an Excel spreadsheet. Forms and reports will also be introduced.
