Outlook is an application used to process email and manage personal information. This workshop is intended for anyone who has an IU exchange account and is interested in exploring the basics of how to read, send and organize email in Outlook, how to send attachments, and how to save names to an address book. Microsoft Outlook contains a calendar feature that offers organizational tools that are easy for the novice to use, yet powerful enough for the busy manager. It provides us with tools for scheduling appointments, and allows us to share and manage many calendars at the same time. Its innovative viewing and organizing capabilities offer an effective way to simultaneously deal with many complex timetables and agendas. This workshop will teach participants how to get the most out of Outlook. It will cover various topics, including how to make appointments in Outlook, how to color-code your calendar, changing preferences and views, sharing calendars with others, making meeting requests, and more. In this workshop, participants will learn how to manage Outlook files and folders to reduce mailbox size, store and use Outlook items on a personal computer, and create rules to automatically organize messages and/or respond to them. In addition, participants will learn to share folders with colleagues, perform effective mailbox searches, export messages to other formats, and view Public Folders. (read the full description)
