Intended for anyone new to web publishing, this workshop provides an overview of basic web publishing issues and resources. Emphasis is placed on web accounts and support at IU. While participants will get hands-on practice transferring files to a web server, this workshop is primarily lecture focused. Participants will not create completed web pages in this workshop. Discover how to use Cascading Style Sheets and Dreamweaver to create more sophisticated-looking web pages that are easy to maintain and load quickly for your users. This workshop is intended for participants with experience using Dreamweaver and familiarity with markup code (HTML or XHTML). It covers creating additional navigation and explores ways to integrate multimedia including audio files, video files, and Flash movies, into web pages. It also explores how to use Dreamweaver templates to make controlling and updating page content a snap, especially when working with others.
